Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
Who we are
LGA Digital Enterprise (CNPJ 52.570.935/0001-07), a company based in Brazil, runs the glota.app website and Glota's official social media accounts. In this policy, "Glota", "we" and "us" mean LGA Digital Enterprise. We are responsible for (the controller of) the personal data described here.
For any privacy question or request, write to privacy@glota.app.
What this policy covers
This policy covers the glota.app website, its waitlist, and Glota's official accounts on Instagram, Facebook, Threads, X, Bluesky, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube.
The Glota app isn't available yet. It will have its own privacy policy, published before the app launches.
What we collect and why
- Waitlist: when you join the waitlist, we store your email address, the language of the page you signed up from, and the date and time you signed up. We use them only to tell you when Glota opens up. We rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Technical data: Cloudflare, which hosts the website, processes your IP address, browser details and the pages you request in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Our request logs keep this information for a short time. We rely on our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
- Fonts: the website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when the page loads.
- Preferences on your device: the website remembers the language and the light or dark theme you chose in your browser's local storage. This stays on your device and is never sent to us.
The website uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers.
Our social media accounts
We publish to Glota's own accounts through a publishing tool we host ourselves, connected to each platform's official API. We use these connections only to publish and manage our own posts and to see the comments and statistics on them. We don't use them to collect personal data about other people, and we don't use them for advertising.
When you follow, comment on or message one of our accounts, the platform's own privacy policy also applies.
Who we share data with
We never sell your personal data. We share it only with the providers that run the website for us:
- Cloudflare: hosting, the waitlist database, and forwarding of email sent to our glota.app addresses.
- Google: website fonts.
International transfers
Our providers may process data outside Brazil, including in the United States. When they do, the transfer is covered by safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, as permitted by Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and, where it applies, the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
How long we keep data
We keep your waitlist signup until you ask us to remove it or until we no longer need it to tell you about Glota's launch, whichever comes first. Request logs are deleted automatically after a short period.
Your rights
Under the LGPD, and the GDPR where it applies, you can ask us to:
- confirm whether we process your data, and give you a copy of it;
- correct data that is incomplete, inaccurate or out of date;
- delete your data, or anonymize or block data we don't need;
- move your data to another provider;
- tell you who we share your data with;
- stop using your data where we rely on your consent.
How to delete your data
To use any of these rights, including deleting your waitlist signup, email privacy@glota.app from the address you signed up with, with the subject "Delete my data" or a short description of your request. We reply within 15 days and confirm once it's done.
If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to Brazil's National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) or to the data protection authority where you live.
Children
The waitlist isn't meant for children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their email address, write to privacy@glota.app and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. If a change matters to how we use your data, we'll say so clearly here.
